IWC Media programmes take top awards
22nd November, 2007

IWC Media’s Stephen Fry: The Secret Life of a Manic Depressive (BBC Two) has been presented with the Best Documentary award at the International Emmys. The Secret Life of a Manic Depressive beat stiff competition from hundreds of entries from around the world, including Dinosaurs vs. Mammals – Secrets of Mammalian Survival (NHK/Discovery Channel Canada), In God’s Hands (RCN Televisión S.A.) and Smiling in a War Zone (Cosmo Doc / Network Movie and ZDF).

The Secret Life of a Manic Depressive was also nominated this year for a BAFTA and an RTS award.

IWC Media’s Mountain with Griff Rhys Jones also won a Scottish BAFTA this week for Best Factual Entertainment. Broadcast on BBC One earlier this year, Mountain beat off strong competition from other nominees, including another IWC Media programme, Robbie Coltrane – B Road Britain (ITV1), Great British Journeys (BBC Two) and Shrink Rap (More4).
