RDF tops Broadcast Peer Poll for the second year running
18th March 2004

RDF Media has emerged as the overwhelming winner of a peer poll conducted by Broadcast magazine, the leading UK television trade journal, for the second year running. Broadcast polled 150 of the UK's top independent production companies to ask them which of their competitors they most admired.

RDF topped the poll with 38% of the vote, more than double its nearest rival, Wall To Wall (17%). Other major companies making up the top 15 included Red Productions (12%), Tiger Aspect (12%) and Talkback Thames (8%). Broadcast commented, 'In the past year, audiences at home and abroad have loved its shows and so have the judges for the Bafta, Montreux, International Emmies, Royal Television Society and Broadcast awards. Now, for the second year running, an overwhelming number of fellow indies named Broadcast's indie of the year RDF as their most admired producer'. Broadcast added, 'For many, it will be RDF's sharp business instincts that they find so admirable. In the past two years, it has nearly doubled its turnover, from £24m to around £45m. It can boast an average annual growth of more than 70% over the past five years. Who would have thought an independent production company could be one of Britain's fastest growing companies?'
