David Frank elected Pact vice-chair

RDF Media chief executive David Frank has been elected vice-chair of Pact, the independent producers' alliance. He will take over in January from Andrew Zein who has been appointed chair, succeeeding Eileen Gallagher. The changes come into place at a time of crucial changes for the independent production community. Legislation concerning the terms of trade between producers and broadcasters, passed as part of the Communications Act in the summer, will come into effect in the new year, and Pact will also have a key role to play in representing independent producers as the Government reviews the BBC's activities in the run-up to Charter renewal in 2006.
