RDF Wins Best Independent Production Company Award

RDF Media has won four major gongs at the Broadcast Awards 2002, including the prestigious Best Independent Production Company award. The judges said: "The company has grown and diversified quickly in the last few years, but it has not sacrificed originality or quality in the process."
RDF also won the Best Popular Factual Programme award for Channel 4 show Faking It, which has recently had a fourth series commissioned. The judges described it as "exemplary – fusing a neat entertainment mechanic with the filmmaking skills we've come to expect from RDF".
Entertainment show Banzai won awards for best multi-channel programme and best new programme (the only category voted for by readers of Broadcast).
Other RDF shows nominated in the Awards included Perfect for Best One-Off Drama, Doing Time for Best Documentary Programme, Perfect Match for Best New Programme and Ride The Wild Surf for Best Sports Programme.
