RDF Media Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Grant Mansfield as CEO, RDF USA.
Mansfield, who will be based in LA, will be assuming his new responsibilities in January 2010, overseeing all RDF production and operations in the United States. Mansfield’s presence in the US is designed to lead to even greater collaboration between RDF’s creative teams in the UK and the US. Mansfield will remain as Group Director Factual, Entertainment and Comedy, maintaining existing relationships with UK broadcasters in this role.
Mansfield joined RDF as Managing Director of RDF TV in 2002 from Granada where he was Director of Programmes and oversaw shows such as Coronation Street, Cold Feet and I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. Prior to this he was responsible for commissioning all factual programmes on the ITV network. Mansfield started his career and spent 18 years at the BBC working in Documentaries and Features.
Earlier this year, Mansfield was promoted to Group Director Factual, Entertainment and Comedy. Jim Allen joined RDF in October this year from ITV Studios as Managing Director, RDF Television following Mansfield’s promotion.
David Frank, CEO RDF Media Group said ‘Grant brings an immense amount of experience to our US business at a very important time. The US remains a top priority for us as a group and I believe this appointment will help us build on the considerable successes we’ve had to date in the world’s most valuable TV market.’
Grant Mansfield, CEO, RDF USA said ‘I’m looking forward to working with colleagues in the US and the UK to expand an already strong slate of programmes at RDFUSA. It’s a hugely exciting time for our business in the States and by further strengthening the ties between our production operations on both sides of the Atlantic I believe there is significant opportunity for further growth.’
